Chique Chique
Non-planar 3D printing with recycled cork
Project Overview

ChiqueChique explores non‑planar additive manufacturing through topology optimization and robotic 3D printing with recycled cork. Multiple geometries were tested, angles were optimized for printability, and CNC‑milled surface treatments were integrated with robotic fabrication. The final prototype—a cork‑printed table—demonstrates cork’s potential as a renewable material offering insulation, water resistance, and impact absorption.

Design Intent

Merge material innovation with computational design to develop scalable methods for fabricating lightweight, textured, and sustainable structures. By testing cork within robotic workflows, the project expands its application beyond furniture toward architectural panels, formwork, and custom finishes.
